Soldier X Ch. 11 Teaser
“That is disgusting.” Angela grimaced. She glanced down at her menu. “I think I’ll have a salad, too, but only if you split a basket of fries with me.”
“Deal.” At that opportune moment, the waiter arrived and took our orders. After he left, Angela dropped the $64,000 question.
“So, if you’re not going with the senator’s son, who are you going to take with you?” I sighed. It’s not like I had much choice.

The Evils of TCW Noticed
I am excited to announce that The Cold War is currently nominated at The TwiTastic Awards for a "Best Villain" award. Voting opened today, Edward Cullen's birthday, and lasts until July 3. Thanks to whoever nominated!
I'm not sure who the targeted "Best Villain" is. My best guess is Sarah, with distant runners-up Randall and Demetri. Or, perhaps Aro, whose intention to capture Edward is discussed in the story. Aro does make a phone appearance toward the end.
These are the same questions I had when TCW won "Best Volturi" in the Sparkle Awards.

AoA Ch. 8 Teaser
“Can I get you something else?” asked Josh. I could tell he was affected as well; his heart rate and respiration had risen slightly and his pupils had dilated.
“No, I don’t need anything,” I answered, as I broke off a corner of his cookie. I raised it to his lips, and his mouth opened to eat it, his gaze still locked with my own. I could feel the softness of his lower lip with the tip of my finger, and then the soft caress of his tongue as it darted out to catch a crumb. Was I seducing him, or was he seducing me? His expression changed to one of almost possessive hunger, and I felt sure that I could see the vampire he would one day become. My own breath hitched.

Soldier X Ch. 10 Teaser
I exited the office building, intending to head straight to the Union Station Metro stop. I could be home in less than 20 minutes. Heck, maybe less than 15 minutes. When I reached the street, I stood in the crowd of pedestrians waiting for the walk signal. A black Lincoln with essentially opaque windows pulled up to the curb just to my right.

Teaser for upcoming AoA Ch. 7
AoA Ch. 7 Teaser
Title: Smoother
I could feel the depression creeping up on me again, as well as the sense that I was the last of either family and completely isolated in the world. It was a stupid feeling, really; here I was welcome in the home of my surrogate family. My thoughts drifted to Sasha, and the ruined plans for taking her out on a date. Yet, it didn’t make sense to start anything with anybody until I knew what this trip was all about.

Some changes to the blog
Thursday, February 11, 2010
I have an unhealthy aversion to bad grammar and misspelled words. I grade student papers, so I've read some bad stuff. I don't even read the local paper anymore; the number of grammar errors was too large for me to enjoy it. If you see an error in my writing, please PM me.
I am happily married, for 17 years. All my "kids" have 4 legs and fur. I love to sing and am a longtime member of my church choir.
I got turned on to Twilight by my mom, who is in her late sixties. She isn't as addicted as I am, but she's read the whole series 7 times now. Whoops, she may have passed me!
In Twilight Fanfiction, I love in-canon stories and missing moments. And crazy humor.
Other books/series I have enjoyed: Harry Potter (JK Rowling), Wheel of Time (Robert Jordan), Sword of Truth (Terry Goodkind), John Sandford's "Prey," Katherine Kurtz's "Deryni," The Belgariad and The Mallorean (David Eddings), Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy L. Sayers), Richard Jury (Martha Grimes), anything Jane Austen.
The last time I was this obsessed with a fictional character was the summer that Spider-man 2 came out. That started my obsession with Ultimate Spider-man, authored by Brian Michael Bendis. He writes dialogue to die for.
You can find my stories online.
