Soldier X Info

Story Summary: Major Isabella Swan, army psychologist, is swiftly climbing the ladder of success when a confidential letter and a clandestine meeting change everything. Her newest patient proves to be the most challenging question in her new life. AU

I wanted to have a place readers could check on the "factual" info about Soldier X, such as the list of characters and their roles in the story.  Here's the story on www.fanfiction.nethttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/5404188/1/Soldier_X.  You can also find it at www.twilighted.net:  http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=9969.  The banner is by ebhg, and she also does all the beta work.  She's great!

Military Jargon I threw around:

Ch. 2:
AWOL:  Absent Without Leave.  A punishable offense in which a member of the military leaves without permission.

Ch. 5
DARPA:  Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a research arm of the Department of Defense
CO: Commanding Officer

Ch. 6
ROTC:  Reserve Officer Training Corps.  This is the college scholarship program for the armed forces in the US; students receive scholarships, training, and in return must commit to military service after college graduation.

Ch. 7
SOTC:  Special Operations Tactical Center.  A meeting room and communications center.

Ch. 8
MRE: Meals, Ready-to-Eat:  These are prepackaged meals for the soldier on the go.  Mmm.

IED:  Improvised Explosive Device.

RPG:  Rocket-propelled grenade.

Ch. 9
Ramstein Air Base: A U.S. Air Base in Germany.

Ch. 10
Women's Mess Dress:  Although it isn't referred to as this in Ch. 10, Sen. James tells Bella not to wear the awful military formal dress for women.  Here is a link to how it looks from wikipedia.  You can assume that the senator's opinion is meant to be slightly offensive as befits his character.

More to come...
